How much do you charge?

Ah, the big question first.

I charge by project, rather than by word or by hour. That way you know I’m not dragging my heels or padding out copy with unnecessary words. And you won’t have to waste your time micromanaging me. Win-win.

Here are some sample project costs for you to take a look at.

These aren’t guaranteed prices – after all, I don’t know exactly what it is you need yet – but they’ll help you to decide whether I’m the writer for you.

What do I get for my money? Is it worth the price?

Of course it is! (Though, honestly, I would say that wouldn’t I…)

I only work with businesses looking for a return on their investment, and that means I only provide fully researched and consistently well-written copy.

I am 100% committed to hitting the deadlines we set and to helping you meet your business goals. Plus, I bring a keen eye for detail and years of marketing and copywriting experience to the table – and that’s something worth paying for.


What payment options are available?

I accept payment by credit card and PayPal. Depending on which country your business is based in, and what fees will be applied, you may also be able to pay by bank transfer.

We’ll sort out the specifics before we get started though.

I don’t accept cash, cheques, Bitcoin, payment in kind, or IOU notes, sorry.


Do I need to pay a deposit?

I ask for a 50% deposit on every project that I work on.

Not only does this offer me a little security, but it also guarantees you a place on my schedule – great for both of us.



Do you work with clients in other countries?

I’m from the UK, but I’ll be based in Auckland, New Zealand throughout most of 2018.

I accept payment in many different currencies, and the magic of the internet means we can be in touch anytime, no matter where you call home.


What industries do you work in?

I primarilly work within the technology, software and IT industries.

I’ve been lucky enough to work with some great clients in the past across those areas, including consumer tech giants, freelance developers, IT vendors, database software companies, marketing agencies, and technology review bloggers.

How soon can you start?

Lead times can vary but usually I’ll be able to start working with you within two weeks of our first conversation.


How many edits or revisions do I get?

Every blog post, web page and copy project includes two rounds of edits – your chance to make sure you’re happy with my work and that the copy is the best fit for your business.

A small fee is payable for any additional work after the included round of amendments.


Do you know anything about content marketing?

You bet I do!

I worked for a marketing agency for several years, working on content, social media and email marketing campaigns.

I’ve also got a solid understanding of SEO and online marketing best practices and have multiple Google and HubSpot certifications in content and inbound marketing. That’s right, I’m educated.
